NEW MATERIALS AND TECHNOLOGIES USED IN 2019 FOR ANKER WETSUITS1 . LIMESTONE BASED NEOPRENE.
We use earth mined limestone to replace petrochemicals in our neoprene. It comes from nature and has less environmental impact. This superior and most innovative material provide higher quality and long-lasting life to the product.
2 . ECO CARBON BLACK
Carbon Black, one of the key ingredients of neoprene, is now be pyrolyzed from scrap rubber tires. This signifcantly reduces energy consumption and cuts CO2 emission by 200g per wetsuit.
3 . UPCYCLING
All our wetsuit inside and out side fabric is made of recycled polyester wich is made from recycled plastic bottles. It takes 45 Bottles to make one Anker fullsuit.
4 . DOPE DYED YARN
All our wetsuits outside, inside fabric, & super stretch black tape are dope dyed. Dope-dying infuses dye pigments into molten plastic solution to produce colored yarns without the harmful impact.
5 . MILKY WATER-BASED LAMINATING GLUE, AQUA-A.
We turned solvent-based glue eliminating harmful volatile organic compounds (VOCs).
6 . BLUESIGN SYSTEM PARTNER
Our fabric mills have received the Bluesign System Partner certifcation. In addition to monitoring the resonable use of chemicals, the partnership ensures that our manufactuerer's energy and water resource utilization efciency waste disposal all comply with the most demanding standards in the global textile industry.
